Where is Kembali Coast ….

October 2, 2008

If you have not been there one could always arrange for a site visit and see the beauty of nature very picturesque place and relaxing scenery.  The Filinvest Land Inc., the host of this high-end resort residential site, would be glad to ferry you to the place (by speed boat or the large motorized boat for group visit) but in the meantime I would like to share this article i wrote about Kembali Coast …..

It is a leisure-residential resort with a 1.8 kilometers beachline accessible to all lot owners within a 50-hectare area at the Island Garden City of Samal.

In an interview with Filinvest vice president for Visayas and Mindanao regional operations Tristan Las Marias  he said FLI’s investment fund would run to about P600 million to fully develop the area.

Developing high-end residences in Davao, Las Marias believes there is a big market niche in Davao City and the whole of the island where this Kembali Coast project carries an Asian-island-Balinese theme with accents to hype beach ambiance.

This is the first of its kind in Mindanao and is accessible by a 30-minute speedboat ride from Davao City to the site in Kaputian, Samal City. (a few meters away from Pearl Farm Beach Resort).

The resort ambiance is what many are looking and their market other than the Overseas Filipino Workers are those from the neighboring areas of General Santos City, Marbel in South Cotabato, Butuan, Cagayan, Bukidnon, etc. even as Las Marias said that they are targeting 20 percent of the local residents and another 30 percent from those market outside Mindanao.

The buyers could be a first time home-buyers and many of them could be purchasing their second home or their retirement home.

“What is being offered here is the lifestyle that buyers would experience where it starts the moment they step on the boat as they travel for 30 minutes towards their home destination  treated like kings and queens, an experience they would want to enjoy,” he said.

Part of the investment is a 32 ft. speedboat that can accommodate 15 persons to be ferried to the area while an access transfer from the airport towards Kembali Coast is part of the plan, he said.

Aside from a residential area is the development of aquasports where enthusiasts and sports lovers would get the chance to go water ski, kayak, diving, wind surf, banana boat ride. Hobie cats are also available, the paraw, the optimist sailboats and a ride with a 6.5 m Rigid Inflatable Boat.

Eventually he said the sports facilities will be turned over to the homeowners association and Filinvest will initially manage the operation.

With the place good for the sea sports, Filinvest infused about P15 million for these facilities. A hobie cat would cost a million and the company is into such investment.  There will be onsite lectures also about aquasports.

Inorder to maintain exclusivity of the area there will only be 400 lots at 1,000 sq. m average lot cut and only 20 percent of the lot is build-able, 80 percent will be retained as “green” with a “gentleman’s farm”.

It is a low-density area with approximately seven lots per hectare.

Other amenities are Tree-Park, Beach Activity Area to include among others clubhouse, infinity pool, sea side pool, park with gazebo and others.

Roads will be concrete with street lights, side walk, electrical and water connections, gate and guardhouse, landscaping, combined storm drainage system and sewerage line, sewerage treatment facility.

Las Marian said groundworks are on going even as he said that their initial talks with the local government are very positive as they stressed that basic infrastructures are needed on the ground.

Kembali could be an added attraction to both Davao and Samal Cities even as both cities must together work on their infrastructures to support the economic and tourism activities in the area.
