Pag-IBIG Southern Mindanao Group made it again to PASADA …

And this time Pag-IBIG Davao Branch Office was rated top agency for 2008 Public Assistance Service Delivery Audit.

Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chair Ricardo Saludo conferred the award to the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) during the culminating activity of the Civil Service Month celebration through Davao Branch manager Manolito O. Olegario at the SM City Event Center on Tuesday, September 30, 2008.

Together with Pag-IBIG Fud with a rating of 4.17 percent for PASADA  is the Philippine National Police Davao City Office getting a rating of 4  percent. The award for the PNP was received by Davao City Police Director Sr. Supt. Ramon Apolinario.

It may be recalled that Pag-IBIG Fund Cotabato Branch Office headed by Manager Noli A. Armada was awarded the CSC Seal of Frontline Service Excellence in 2007 and was given the highest award of excellence, an additional recognition as they became part of the nationwide publicity for best practices in the bureaucracy.

Both the Cotabato and Davao Branch Offices belong to the Southern Mindanao Group under the supervision of Vice President Jose W. Banzon, Jr.

The CSC rates agency on delivery of frontline services through a team of volunteers where it transacts business with agencies not known to the agency being rated.

The strategy is simple as a pool of Public Service Monitors checks and tests out public services.

The government office delivery of services is tested by the PASADA where the office was assessed in terms of providing service, structures, systems and procedures and the physical condition.

The Fund’s value of customer care as well as meeting the expectations of the transacting public for prompt, courteous, responsive, facilitative and pleasant service were also factors considered in the award.

The CSC puts premium in promoting morale, efficiency, integrity, responsiveness and courtesy in government service.

The PASADA is a proactive mechanism installed to address the problems brought by inefficiency at the government’s first line of contact with the citizenry.

It also provides mechanism through which the performance of government frontline services can be systematically checked and evaluated.

Meanwhile the Dangal ng Bayan Award semi-finalists  were also recognized during the Awarding Activity with CSC Chair Saludo namely Naida G. Lasangre, Instructor II of Lupon School of Fisheries of Davao Oriental and F/Supt. Wilberto Rico Neil Kwan Tiu.

With the 108th celebration of  Civil Service, a one stop shop for government frontline agencies was set up from September 29 to 30, 2008 at the SM City Event Center where 22 agencies such as Pag-IBIG , Department of Foreign Affairs, National Statistics Office, Department of Agriculture, TESDA, DCWD, Davao City Business Bureau, Department of Science and Technoly and others showcased their different services for the public to access.
