In Davao City … property builders join Housing Fair on Oct 29 to 31 @ NCCC Mall


Property developers in Davao are joining the Housing Fair 2008 that will be held at the NCCC Mall in Matina on October 29 to 31, 2008.

Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) project officer of the housing Fair in Davao City Rose Taasan said about 12 exhibitors is participating for this year’s event.

Among the developers participating are Filinvest Land, Inc., Kisan Lu Realty, Inc., Davao Joyful Homes, Davao Elite/Primeland Mktg., Santos Land Dev’t. Corp., DMC Urban Property Dev’t. Inc., Crown Communities “Camela Communities”, HLC Construction and Dev’t Corp./Hemeni Land Corp. “Chula Vista Residences”, Foothills Realty & Dev’t Corp., Uraya Land Dev’t. Inc., Holcim Phils, and Robinsons Homes, Inc.

The Fair is supported by Pag-IBIG Fund, Housing Land Use Regulatory Board, Home Guarantee Corporation, National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation, National Housing Authority, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Social Security System, Government Service Insurance System and Social Housing Finance Corporation.

Prospective homebuyers are encouraged to check on the different housingunits that will be on sale during the fair.

HUDCC through its flyers indicated that all government and privatesector employers, including Filipino overseas workers are qualified to avail acquired assets in any of the participating selling agencies.

The Housing Fair it said is to assist and provide housing units at affordable cost and fast track the disposition of acquired assets of key shelter agencies and government financialinstitutions.

The prospective buyers are asked to submit the following documentary requirementsnamely: Community Tax Certificate or Cedula, Proof of Income (latest income tax return,certificate of employment and compensation, latest pay slip), marriage certificate (ifmarried).

Additional requirements for HGC, Pag-IBIG Fund and BSP – 2×2” ID Picture, BSP – Tax Identification Number (TIN), copy of any government issued ID (e.g. SSS, VotersID), and NHMFC and GSIS – Two (2) valid identification cards.

Meanwhile, Pag-IBIG Fund in press statement said that during the first Housing Fair conducted in 2006 it made up the bulk with 14,830 units sold valued at P4 billion.

It said that Housing Fair is a unique program that provides a one-stop marketplace wherehomebuyers can choose from the acquired properties that are available for sale atdiscounted prices and through loans with liberal terms.

The foreclosed properties usually remain as idle assets for long periods due to limited avenues for disposition and lack of awareness on the part of buyers.

After the 2006 Fair, the one set up in 2007 was for  specific sector namely  the PhilippineNational Police/Department of Interior and Local Government and the Armed Forces ofthe Philippines . A bigger event was held in October for government workers, privatesector employees and OFWs.

Two housing fairs have been organized early in 2008, one for the Department of Education teachers and personnel and the other one during the Independence Daycelebration.
